Welcome to my very first webpage - I'm super excited about this!

Hello, World. My name is Alicia, and I am a nerd. :o)

As the title of my page would suggest, this is a homework assignment, and this is my first webpage... so don't expect much from it. You have been warned. :o)

I am a math major at SmallTown University in the oh-so-wonderful US of A. I love Jesus and physics and the physics of Jesus... wait... oops Oh, and hippos! And Skittles! Yeah! :o)
After I graduate from my little college, I am on my way to grad school, hard-core style. A PhD in physics is where it's at! I have a sick (well, I don't think it's sick, but apparently I am not normal...) fascination with all things quantum physical. Another passion of mine is string theory. A couple summers ago I stumbled across the amazingness that is String Theory, special thanks to Brian Greene, and I have been hooked ever since. It would rock my socks off, hard-core style, to work on developing a unified theory someday... I suppose we shall see. Muahahahahaha!! :o)
Finally, I would like to say that Richard Feynman is my favorite physicist. He rocks my socks off, hard-core style!

This is a picture of my dog. His name is Buddy.

Reasons why my dog is cool:

He is super fuzzy and cute
He brings the newspaper in from the end of the driveway every morning. This is really handy when it is cold outside. Sadly, he isn't very good at bringing in the Sunday paper.
He can sneeze on command. (no joke)
He is insanely smart - learns new tricks in less than 5 minutes! It's like instant dog tricks. Just add water.
He says his prayers.
He will eat practically anything that is put in front of him.
He has amazing tennis ball radar.
It doesn't matter where he is, he knows when you are standing near the Skittles.
He knows what is a crepuscular lagomorph. Do you?
He likes my textbooks. Apparently they are good for sleeping in. I concur.
He always knows when my mom is going to give him a bath and is quick to make himself scarce when she goes to get the towel.
